Early Prolific Straightneck Courgette (Cucurbita pepo)
Early Prolific Straightneck Zucchini (Cucurbita pepo): This zucchini's beautiful yellow skin encloses firm, flavorful flesh. It originates from the United States, where it's quite common, especially in local markets. Its name translates as "early productive zucchini with a straight neck," which differentiates it from the Crookneck, another popular zucchini with a very similar shape but a curved neck. These are the iconic zucchini in many places, not the cylindrical ones like ours. To eat, they should be harvested when they reach 10-15 centimeters in height; to sow the seeds, wait until they reach maturity, reaching 30 centimeters. They're ready in about 50 days from transplanting.
