The distribution of seeds of local varieties is the goal of our association. Seeds can be requested free of charge at the following page: https://www.cercatoridisemi.com/sementi-gratuite . We invite you to download the free guides that are published periodically to help you produce and preserve your own seeds, maintaining the purity of the varieties and thus ensuring their survival. Below you will find details on how to purchase and receive seeds. Cercatori di Semi is a non-profit organization. Seed sales are managed by the Santa Teresa farm, which supports the association by funding social projects and our seed bank, thus ensuring the survival of all those heirloom varieties that are disappearing. That said, if you have financial difficulties or alternative lifestyles, please contact us; we will try to accommodate you.
SELF-PRODUCTION GROWERS
In the Shop section, you'll find many heirloom varieties from Italy and around the world. All varieties are produced using methods that prevent hybridization, preserving the characteristics of the ecotype. To order seeds, simply add them to your cart from the shop . In the Guides section, you'll find free instructions for propagating and preserving pure seeds. As mentioned, seeds can be requested free of charge; purchasing them helps support the association.
ASSOCIATIONS OR SCHOOLS
The seeds are distributed free of charge to non-profit cultural associations and schools and institutes. A project is also underway to educate elementary schools on the importance of biodiversity in crops, with a specially designed, completely free package.
