ACCLIMATIZATION OF HEIRLOOM CORN: GERMINATION IN LIGHT BOX BY ALLESSANDRO BLARASIN
I noticed that, just as my chili peppers struggle to ripen in our climate (we're in Friuli), my heirloom corn varieties suffered the same problem. These heirloom varieties, bred in the New World for a warmer climate, only ripen after many days and at temperatures that, except in the luckiest years, can't be reached in our area.
