Details
Buratino or Pinocchio (Lycopersicon lycopersicum): an extraordinary and ancient Russian variety, officially recognized at the end of the last century by the Crimean Agricultural Institute. The name derives from a corruption of the Italian term "Burattino," as the long tip resembles the nose of Collodi's famous character. The plant is semi-determinate (just under two meters tall) and very productive. The oblong berries are a beautiful orange color and weigh up to 200 grams. The pulp is firm, with very few seeds and not very watery, making it suitable for preserves. The flavor is delicate, with low acidity, though noticeable, and a subtle, unobtrusive odor.
It responds well to sudden climate changes and allows us to take some risks by anticipating sowing.
Furthermore, the plant is truly showy, the numerous and large berries decorate it in an astonishing way.
Ready in 85 days from transplant.
