Green Cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum)

Green Cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum): As the climate changes, agriculture changes. Treat the growing  of this well-known spice as a future exercise. The plant is vigorous and develops its aerial parts quickly, but it cannot tolerate temperatures below 10°C. It will flower and bear fruit only if conditions are perfect. This means: acid-loving soil (between 5.1 and 5.5°C), consistently moist, biennial repotting, and out of direct sunlight—in short, a vegetable Tamagotchi. It's a good idea to give it to children as a way to teach them responsibility. For those without a greenhouse: Acid-loving soil is available at any garden center. In winter, place it indoors near a bright window. The secret to getting them to flower is the temperature: as high as possible for as long as possible, with the substrate constantly moist. If you have a greenhouse, grow it in a box like ginger; in a greenhouse, with earlier temperatures, it flowers in its second year.
