Half-Long Carosello from Polignano (Cucumis melo): The earliest of the carosellos, the plant is very productive. The fruits with ribbed green sking are harvested when still immature, around 20 cm in length. Compared to the other carosellos, thi one is the heaviest, due to the large diameter of the fruit. To collect the seeds, they should be allowed to ripen, when the skin becomes
white and will have an intense melon scent.
Be careful , carosellos are actually melons and they hybridize with them.
