Wild Cabbage (B. oleracea)

Wild cabbage (B. oleracea):we have been cultivating and studying this species for a few years now, with the intention of using it as a manure brassica in Aridoculture. It is in fact spontaneous, extremely rustic, withstands frosts and it is cultivable even where temperatures are higher. The developed root system gives it a reduced water requirement when the heat comes. No special needs were found. One day one of our guests decided to try it in the kitchen and we realised that it is also very tasty. The young leaves are collected, which are aromatic and sweet, but, despite the important presence of sulforaphanes, they do not give too much of typical and sometimes "difficult" smell of brassicaceae. Cultivating it will help make it more popular, some plants should be allowed to produce seeds (slow variety, about July).
