    Black Tuscan Kale (Brassica oleracea): The famous ingredient of Tuscan soups, it is also the protagonist of many recipes throughout the Italian peninsula.

    The leaves of the biennial plant can reach up to 60 cm long, looking like a small palm tree.

    Sowing from Spring to end of the  Summer to harvest in Winter, it is particularly resistant to frost, which actually improves its taste. It offers a long harvest, specially in the winter months. It does not need too much irrigation.

    Besides its great taste, it has diuretic, vermifuge, and medicinal properties. Rich in vitamins A and E, folic acid, and sulforaphane. Remarkable healthy properties .

    To obtain the seeds it is necessary to leave some plants (ten if possible) to produce seeds the following spring, when it will be full of yellow flowea dollowed by numerous pods, from which you can collect the seeds, when dried.
