Red Ceriolo from Verona (Cichorium intybus): beautiful variety of "country chicory", very easy to grow and as it is rustic it does not require particular fertilization. It germinates even at high temperatures, it bears intense cold well. Once formed, the plant takes on the appearance of a rose in shape and color, which grants it an ornamental bonus. Its taste is similar to Belgian endive or radicchio. It is sown until late summer and harvested when the size allows, although usually spring is expected, when the plant is well formed. Very few water needs, stagnation should be avoided. A beautiful, sustainable, good and traditional variety.
