  • Cekirdegi Oyali watermelon (Citrullus lanatus): the seeds you see in the photo are not carved, this small watermelon from Turkey is a botanical rarity, the seeds, when ripe, produce cracks on the tegument exposing the mesocarp in strange, really special designs. The fruit is early, of small size, it reaches a maximum of 2 kg, but it is easy to grow because it is not very vigorous, it does not need to be trimmed, and is not very demanding. Also suitable for vessels and urban gardens. It does not tend to break if irrigated when ripe. The pulp red, in the medium of the Brix scale, it does not have great organoleptic characteristics. A nice watermelon to amaze diners ( and without much effort).
