Majella Socere and Nore Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris)

Majella Socere e Nore Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris): A variety from Abruzzo with an oval-shaped seed and a skin colored white and black or dark brown; the two colors are arranged symmetrically on the surface of the seed. In the past, this bean probably had a very wide distribution area, while today it is found only in the southern part of the Park . Well-known thanks also to the typical color (black and white) of the seed, from which its characteristic name derives, recalling the contrast that has "always" characterized the relationship between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. Beautiful, rare, and delicious.
