Japanese Curled Cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. acephala): Very important traditional Japanese variety, used in New Year's celebrations and as an ornament in gardens: in addition to being edible, the spectacular ripples hold beautiful shades of fucsia and purple which make it a champion of beauty. The plant is large in size, of spherical shape and reaches 1 mt in diameter  and height. It does not suffer low temperatures, even intense frost, which actually  improves its organoleptic characteristics, mainly the already inherent sweetness of the leaves, the intense cold also improves the colour (the most intense shades will come after winter).  Thanks to the bond between vivacity and taste, this product allows for important preparations in the kitchen.
Cultivation is simple, the plant is undemanding, it can be grown in both, on the ground and in pots, where, however, it will keep smaller dimensions. To be sown in June where it is cooler until November in the South,  ready about 120 days after planting. We recommend, if possible, to harvest after winter.
This variety is particularly representative of Japanese selections, an accurate combination of delicacy in the taste and the beauty of the plant, which is why we love the Japanese varieties. Very rare in Europe.
