Dettagli
Komatsuna Old Tokyo (Brassica rapa var perviridis): we present one of the most traditional cultivars of this vegetable, directly from Tokyo Prefecture. Once much loved and cultivated not only in Japan, but also in Korea and southern China, it has been disappearing to the advantage of other varieties that are easier to trade.
Defining it is not simple, it is a mixture between a pak choy and a mustard, but we would define it more like a spinach. A fabulous spinach: the stem is savoury and contrasts with the sweet leaves, all tipped with a slightly spicy taste, really pleasant.
Cultivation is easy, it grows quickly and has no special soil needs, irrigation needs are average.
It loves the cold and doesn't suffer with frost, on the other hand, it starts seeding in the early heat, the ideal cultivation temperature is between 10 and 23°C.
The planting area 30 by 30 cm.
Not to be missed, in Europe only here.
