LANCIO SACCHETTI DI NATALE
Aztec Black Sweet Corn (Zea Mays): An ancient sweet corn from Mexico, it's suitable for soups and boiling. It has an excellent flavor and matures early. To produce seeds, you'll need to leave a few plants so the "cobs" (allow us the vulgar, though incorrect, term) can reach adequate maturity. For consumption, harvest (for all sweet corn) when the kernel releases liquid when pressed with your fingernail. It's fantastic for grilling. This variety is very popular in South America, where it's an ingredient in the popular drink Chicha Morada. Delicious and quick, it's ideal for those who love corn and don't want to buy packaged products at the supermarket. 25 seeds will give you about fifty black, juicy cobs.
