Japanese Hulles Corn (Zea mays)

Japanese Hulles Corn (Zea mays): an ancient Japanese corn with very white, sweet kernels, and the distinctive feature of having a very thin, almost imperceptible pericarp (husk) around the kernels. It is also called honey corn, both for its sweetness and the fragrant aroma of its awns and cob (plume). The small plant, reaching a height 1.5 mt, produces two or three spadices (commonly called cobs), which mature in just over two months. Easy to grow,  suitable for everyone.
