Details
Lao Lavender Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.): from the Lao ethnic group in South East Asia, A very unique eggplant variety. The berry, spherical in shape, slightly flattened at the ends, measures no more than five centimeters in diameter and is a deep lavender-purple in color. The plant is very productive, though small, barely exceeding half a meter in height.
After transplanting, the first fruits appear in about seventy days: these small eggplants, besides being particularly decorative, are also edible—practically sweet—and can be cooked, even fried whole. Particularly easy to grow because they are very undemanding, and suitable for pots, they will decorate your vegetable gardens and balconies with a burst of color. Just be careful with germination: keep them at a constant 25°C in a warm seedbed or whenever temperatures are stable.
