Thai Elephant Tusk Eggplant (Solanum melongena)
LANCIO SACCHETTI DI NATALE
Thai Elephant Tusk Eggplant (Solanum melongena): Also known as Thai Green Long, this interesting eggplant, despite its origins, is among the most tolerant to low temperatures, even withstanding brief frosts. It also has excellent resistance to water stress. The flavor will not disappoint: excellent, full-bodied, and very different from the varieties we are used to, especially the purple ones. The fruits grow to 25-30 cm in size and are a beautiful light green. Although the plant doesn't exceed 60 cm in height, it is quite productive.
Suitable for both cultivation in Northern Italy and for late sowing in the South, the only precaution is that the germination temperature must be suitable, 24°C, otherwise the seed will not germinate, and continuing to water will cause the seed to rot.
