It can also be grown in open ground, where it will provide immense satisfaction. Each plant produces numerous pumpkins, weighing 3 to 5 kg, with a rounded, sometimes ogival shape. They keep well after harvest. The pulp is sweet inside, like all muscadine pumpkins, but its low-fibrous consistency also makes it excellent for soups or baked.
