Friggitello pepper (Capsicum annuum): the classic Neapolitan Friggitello pepper, although it is also grown and used in numerous recipes in other regions of Southern Italy.
A hardy, highly productive plant, its berries are around 10-14 cm long. They are eaten green, still unripe, and can be cooked on their own or sautéed as a side dish. They are very fragrant and slightly spicy. They can be grown in pots on balconies or in the ground. Friggitello seeds are readily available commercially; however, you need to ensure they are not F1-seeded to propagate them.
