Macedonian Zelena pepper (Capsicum annum)
Zelena Macedonian Pepper (Capsicum annum): from the land of Alexander the Great, a pepper that will captivate you. An undemanding plant, very early, productive, and suitable for many uses: the spearhead-shaped berry, about 16 centimeters long, is sweet and fleshy, suitable for fresh salads, stuffed, dried, and then fried—in short, in all sauces, even salsas. It's generally eaten green, but even ripe it retains a sweet and refined flavor, never overpowering. The berry, not particularly fragrant on the plant, explodes with aromas as soon as it touches the flame; the very thin skin quickly exposes the pulp, which releases tons of terpenes. Its exceptional versatility also makes it suitable for restaurants (in addition to grilling).
