Zulu Black Pepper (Capsicum annuum)

Zulu pepper (Capsicum annuum): a beautiful black pepper from Poland, with very thin skin. Crisp, it has a strong, fragrant flavor. It tolerates cold better than regular peppers, and is early and productive. The plant reaches 60 cm; it's helpful to remove ripe peppers to avoid weighing down the plant due to their heavy production. For seeds, however, leave the fruits from the best plants until they turn red. Suitable for both pot and ground cultivation, it tolerates forcing well because it's less demanding on temperatures, even during germination. In the kitchen, despite its modest size, it holds up very well, even when eaten raw. A marvel not to be missed.
