Thessaloniki tomato (Lycopersicon lycopersicum)
LANCIO SACCHETTI DI NATALE
Thessaloniki tomato (Lycopersicon lycopersicum): an ancient variety bred under the scorching Greek sun. Resistant to full sun and cracking caused by rain or irrigation in excessive heat, it stores well when picked directly from the plant. Its flavor is that of copper tomatoes: a balanced balance of acidity and sweetness. Ripe fruits weigh 150 grams and have a beautiful bright red color. This indeterminate ecotype requires support and pruning of the axillary shoots (snapping) for optimal production. Another important characteristic: it is ready in just 68 days.
Thanks to its precocity and the characteristics with which it was selected, it is suitable for dryland farming.
We chose this variety precisely for its characteristics of rusticity and resistance to temperatures, as well as its precocity and conservation, it can also be grown in dryland farming.
