Purple Top Turnip (Brassica rapa)

Purpletop Turnip - Milan (Brassica rapa): early variety with good cold resistance, white pulp, crunchy and sweet taste. Normally, it is ready for consumption in 55 days, it is very rustic, and also adapts to difficult soils. The roots reach 12 cm in diameter but for consumption it is preferable to harvest when they do not exceed 7 cm. The green part is edible, but the root is, compared to other varieties particularly tasty, sweet and crunchy. It is suitable for pot cultivation, once harvested, it also keeps for a long time. It may happen that the color of the top extends almost all the way to the whole root.
