Reaperuga (Capsicum chinese)
LANCIO SACCHETTI DI NATALE
Reaperuga (Capsicum chinese): from the breeder of the Carolina Reaper Smokin' Ed at the Puckerbutt Company, a rare and spectacular cultivar, backed by the renown of a great company. A spectacular cross between a Carolina Reaper and a Moruga, its large, wrinkled berries have an intense, penetrating aroma, a harbinger of a spiciness of as yet unknown magnitude. There is no official measurement yet, but it is certainly among the hottest in the world, considering it comes from the farm that bred the current Guinness World Record-holding chili pepper. The plant is highly productive and ornamental, and its peppers, among the largest of the Chienense species, stand out like so many small flames—a spectacle to behold. A particularly warm-weather plant, it does not tolerate low temperatures; it is advisable to overwinter it to accelerate production in the second year. Among the rarest of the hottest.
