Wild Arugula (Diplotaxix tenuifolia)
Wild Arugula (Diplotaxix tenuifolia): This perennial plant has a distinctive flavor. The wild variety we offer is slightly more bitter than the cultivated variety. A very robust and perennial plant, the leaves can be eaten after 40 days; simply cut them, leaving the plant intact at the base, and it will grow again shortly after. Its beneficial properties include vitamin C, which is higher in arugula than in lemon, vitamins K, A, and folic acid. 30 kcal per 100 g, making it particularly suitable for low-calorie diets. Being a perennial, dedicate a dedicated space to it in your garden. It has no particular soil or water requirements.
*= Very low, does not require irrigation
**= Low, also suitable for hot and arid areas, water only in case of prolonged drought
***= Reduced, one of the least demanding varieties of the species, suitable for areas with sporadic rainfall, irrigate only in case of prolonged drought
****= Tolerant to water stress, requires moderate irrigation, suitable for low-water consumption gardens.
Unfortunately, until the guide is published, this is just a rough guideline to avoid confusion. Dryland farming requires cultivation techniques suited to the soil and soil conditions. All varieties have been acclimated in Italy.
