Detail
Indian Red Mustard (Brassica juncea): also called Red Giant, this variety of brassicae grows extremely quickly (it needs a soil that has a good nitrogen supply), on the other hand, it does not tolerate temperatures below zero. When you eat it, both raw and cooked, it retains a touch of spiciness. The leaves are large red ribs, even when they are of good size they are not leathery. Except the North (Italy) it can be cultivated all year round, it is important that it is not exposed to prolonged frosts. Easy to grow and productive, it is suitable for both self-production and restaurants, where it allows to provide a fresh product all year round while bringing a pleasant exotic flavour.
