  • Cushaw White Crookneck Squash (Cucurbita argyrosperma): A traditional North American variety, highly prized in the Southern states of the United States and linked to Abraham Lincoln's family. This squash, of Native American origin, has historically been cultivated because its excellent flesh quality.

     The flesh is dry, creamy, and firm, with a rich, buttery flavor and a delicate, never overpowering sweetness. Ideal for pies, purées, gnocchi, soups, and savory dishes; traditionally, it's often cooked like potatoes, simply sautéed. In the United States, it's considered one of the best pumpkins for pumpkin pie.

     The fruit is large, oblong, creamy white in color with light green streaks, characterized by a curved neck and a bulbous base. The plants are very vigorous, climbing, and suitable for extensive cultivation and warm, temperate climates.

     A hardy and productive variety, historically grown intercropped with corn. The fruit keeps well after harvest.
