Spaghetti Squash (Cucurbita pepo)

Spaghetti Squash (Cucurbita pepo): a unique squash variety capable of producing fruits weighing up to 2 kg, the pulp of which, once extracted, forms vegetable spaghetti.

When raw, spaghetti squash flesh looks similar to that of other squash. If you boil it whole for 45 minutes and then cut it in half, remove the seeds, and scoop out the flesh with a fork. It will separate into many compact strands, similar to spaghetti or noodles. Its flavor is almost neutral, making it ideal for a variety of healthy and easy-to-prepare recipes.
This pumpkin has no particular water or soil needs and is therefore easy to grow.
