Golden Pomme Zucchini (C. pepo)

Pomme d'Or Zucchini (C. pepo): A rare French variety of creeping zucchini. The long tendrils will produce two dozen small yellow zucchini, 6-8 cm in diameter, with slightly stringy, fragrant flesh. Their flavor is different from what you might expect: an intense, earthy flavor with hints of artichoke (they're fabulous stuffed). They lend themselves to many recipes, stuffed as mentioned above, but also sliced and fried, as well as in a pie. Simply choose the ripeness level based on the recipe. The flowers are also edible. Add a little bit of France to your garden.
