Friulian Wrinkled Zucchini (C. pepo): An early Italian variety, its skin is lumpy and lemon-yellow in color. The flesh is white and sweet, with a strong pumpkin flavor. It can also be eaten raw, as its vegetal part is not predominant like common zucchini. It lends itself well to cultivation in the palm shape, tying the top to a vertical support and pruning the lower layers. This prevents stinging diseases because the leaves are not in contact with the ground.
